FEDERATED CHOOSES EASTLAN
Eastlan will measure the three largest Federated Media markets
(SAMMAMISH, WA) "The fact of the matter is, in this climate our current vendor is cost prohibitive," announced Federated Media Chief Operating Officer Tony Richards in explaining his company's decision to sign with Eastlan for ratings in three Federated markets: Fort Wayne, South Bend and Elkhart. "Plus, if you continue to collect data the same way for over 42 years and rely on the United States Postal Service as your primary delivery system, you get what you get. We're going in a different direction as I suppose most radio stations are in this day and age. We are excited to be working with Eastlan to bring more reliable, cost effective results for our stations and clients."
"This is another bellwether moment for our company," remarked Eastlan President/CEO Mike Gould. "Federated is widely regarded as one of the best locally-owned, medium-market broadcasters in our industry; needless to say we are very, very proud to be associated with them. It's our belief Federated is a group with community service in their DNA and they are among those leading the renewed interest in the operation of locally-focused radio stations."
Richards continues, "Eastlan has a proven track record of performance. We are looking forward to working with them and providing our clients with data that is more current and has fewer, wobbly, surprises every 6 months. We are going to run these products side by side this Fall and we're anxious to see the results. Eastlan has over 80 markets now and the folks I've talked with who use them are thrilled with the service and the price."
Eastlan Ratings' initial measurement in each market will be Fall 2010.
