Meanwhile, Centennial double dips with Eastlan: "a no brainer".

(BELLEVUE, WA) After an extended period of operating without ratings, Max Media will again be a ratings subscriber but this time with Eastlan Ratings. Under the terms of a new multi-year agreement, Eastlan Ratings will field its initial audience measurement study in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach/Newport News market in Summer 2018.

"We needed a ratings system to again measure growth within our building," remarked Keith Barton, General Manager for the Max Media cluster in Norfolk. "We feel Eastlan is a perfect alternative and costs a fraction of Nielsen."

Just up the road in Virginia, Centennial Broadcasting announced a long-term renewal with Eastlan in their Winchester/Leesburg and Fredericksburg clusters. Centennial's Fredericksburg Market Manager Mark Bass says, "we did extensive research before moving from Nielsen to Eastlan three years ago and discovered they have a lot of happy clients. Now after three years of experience using Eastlan, we find that contrary to what some would have lead us to believe, we've seen no negative impact or attrition from either our National, Regional or Local advertisers. In fact, it's been positive as our business is up. Our decision to renew long-term with Eastlan reflects our confidence in the product moving forward. It was really a no brainer."

Eastlan Ratings is a privately held media-research firm headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. Eastlan Ratings was formed in 1999 and provides radio audience measurement data to markets across the United States. For more background see
